I've caught the X-Factor bug

After months of not really sitting down till late in the evenings because of working over at the new house, finally with the dark evenings we can watch tv again.

Just in time for X-Factor again. Most years I've only caught up with it towards the end, but this time I've watched right from the beginning (yes sad I know).

Who do I think will win???? It has to be Joe McElderry - he has such a voice and personality. But I also like Jamie Archer (love the hair and voice) and Lucie Jones (lovely voice).

We will just have to wait and see...

Finally some knitting...

Its been a crazy summer, every weekend and most evenings have been spent in the garden of the house we are going to do up.

Now that the evenings are pulling in, finally we get home earlier and I have time to knit again.

I'm getting on with "the second sock" using the alpaca/BFL I spun months ago, and so far its going well. I'll soon reach the "going onto 5 dpn's" stage and then the fun will begin again....

I loved the fishy dishcloth which was a July KAL from my Yahoo group. I think the fish had a bit of a shock when they saw your visitor! I can't remember what it was called, a Twashi or somthing similar.

And there was the "thank you" dishcloth. For the life of me I can't see how it says thank you... lol.

Having got the time to knit again, I thought I would have a look at sock yarn on Norwich Market. Lovely stall, good choice of yarn, but then I saw the price of sock yarn, and decided to stick to my own spun stuff. I think I will wait until I have perfected using dpn's before spending a fortune on colourful yarn!
